Hey everyone! This is Jake. I figure its finally time that I enter into the blogging world to contribute to this. Its been an exciting week. We went to St George last week for a little bit of rest and relaxation, as well as to celebrate our nine month anniversary. (Kira is going to write more about this later) We came back on Friday, only to find out some rather surprising news.
So Kira has never gotten her wisdom teeth out, and we had scheduled a consultation for Monday. It' not that she needed them out per say, but because we heard that the older you get the more painful it becomes. So we thought 'why not?' On our drive home we received a call from the oral surgeon who changed some of the details for Monday on us. Instead of a consultation, the surgeon wanted to pull Kira's wisdom teeth. We decided that it was a good time to do it right before school.
So fast forward to Monday. Kira has had various surgeries before, and all the stories I heard about her waking up from anesthetics were hilarious, so I had high expectations. And let's just say they were met.
Kira had the surgery and everything went well. As she was waking up from the anesthetics, Kira was quite comical. Carol (Kira's mom) and I were there as she started coming out of it. Kira looked up and said, "Thats mom... Whose he?"
Can you believe it?! After nine months of marriage, and almost two years of knowing each other, she didn't remember me!! However, she quickly made up for it. She kept saying, "Mom, he is cute!" She probably said that five times! She then went on to ask her mom, "Do you think he'd ask me out?"
I told her that as soon as she was better we could arrange something.
When I told her that we had been married for nine months she made the cutest face as she let out a big "What????" and then followed it up with, "I'm so lucky..." It was awesome. So Kira was pretty funny as she woke up and came out of anesthetics! My only regret was that I did not record the entire instance!

It was sort of like this, but without any cursing.
