My baby is 3 months already! Where is the time going? (I don't think I'll ever think differently.) She's getting so big and is so much fun. She's starting to laugh, she's very active, and she smiles all the time. :) I just love getting to hang out with her all day, every day. And with summer beginning, I'm sure we have many fun days ahead of us! The weather has been beautiful, so we've been making the most of it. Jake's family owns a cabin just a little over 3 hours away from Bentonville. It is a great place for a get-away, especially over a 3-day weekend! So, over Memorial Day, we packed up the baby and the dog and headed out. There were some unfortunate events that happened, but we made the most of it and still had a great time! This is the closest Mckynlee has come to laughing. She's getting so close and it's adorable! We were worried about the drive because we have a baby who hates the carseat and a puppy that hates the kennel. But they both did great! They both slept the entire time. Wahoo! That was a blessing. And it happened on both drives. I don't know how we got so lucky. We are working on getting Mckynlee to sleep in the crib during the day. She sleeps great at night, but she doesn't love sleeping in her room during the day. Which, for the most part, really isn't a problem. She'll sleep in a stroller, a swing, the Bjorn, etc. Just not the crib...during the day. Weird. Also, isn't that little romper just adorable?! When you watch this next video, don't think we are terrible parents. Mckynlee loves being on her tummy. But recently, rolling over hasn't been satisfying enough. She's been trying to move. And she does...very slowly and with great effort. It's so cute, but she is just giving it her all. I came across this song and fell in love with it. I'll sing it to Mckynlee now, and even though I'm not the greatest singer, she loves it. When we (Jake or I) start to sing, she just gets the biggest grin on her face. It's the cutest thing. Every time I hear this song, I just become so grateful for my little family. I love them so! Once warmer weather comes about, our little town puts together a carnival of sorts every first Friday of the month. This was Mckynlee's first First Friday. We missed last month, or it would have been the first (the start of the new year) first (Mckynlee's first) First Friday. Confused? Haha. Anyway, it's basically just a community event where people can come hang out at the Square, eat food, listen to music, and wander around looking at various booths. It's really rather fun. It was beautiful out, so it seemed to be a great way to spend our night. So...I know I'm completely ridiculous. But I had dressed Mckynlee for the day and was trying to put myself together when I realized I had a matching outfit. I just couldn't resist. So, it was intentional, but it kind of was. It was fun to carry arounda mini me. People keep telling me she looks just like me, so why not? She is so wiggly! I think it's so funny. She'll just lay there and move every possible part of her. Funny girl. In unrelated-to-Mckynlee news, Jake taught Pepper how to fetch! They were both loving it. They played for a long time! I asked Jake about it later and he confused fetch is one of the main reasons he even wanted a dog! So there you go. We loved Rio, but he wasn't really into the whole "fetch" thing. He wasn't really into the whole "being-a-dog" thing. Pepper is so different in every way. She's been so much fun. And really a pretty well-behaved puppy. Another great thing about our community is the Splash Pad! In the summer, it's a fun place to cool off, in the winter, it's an ice skating rink! Mckee and I are lucky to have some awesome friends to hang out with. We hung out for the afternoon and let our babies play. They all loved the water! Mckynlee looked like she was at a spa in her robe! But it kept her warm after leaving the water! She was also exhausted after spending the afternoon in the sun and the water. She fell asleep before we even reached the car, which was only about 3 minutes away.

I love how adventurous you are with her! She is really adorable, and it is so fun when babies begin to laugh! Best sound in the world.
