The story of the rubber ducks is this: When Jake purposed, he gave me a lifeguard/swim team rubber duck because I love rubber ducks. So, for all major events in our lives (wedding, places we've been, etc.) we started collecting rubber ducks. So, announcing our pregnancy with a rubber duck seemed too perfect.
Week 12
Is this real life? Can it really be happening? Well, despite the very surreal feeling of becoming a mother, it is true! It is real life! 5 years ago, I wouldn't have believed anyone who told me I'd be married to a very handsome, very intelligent man who happens to be the love of my life, living in Arkansas, expecting a baby! When did I get so old?! Anyway, here we are. 3 months into pregnancy. And we couldn't be more excited!!
How big is Baby Taylor: The size of a plum, or a ripe apricot. (That is about 2.1 inches long and .5oz.)
Gender: Unknown
Developments: According to my pregnancy apps and development books, Baby Taylor has all of his/her vital organs formed and functioning, all he/she needs to do now is grow! I can't believe it!
Mom's Feelings: Morning sickness is a huge understatement. I think they really should have called it all-day sickness. And exhaustion. I am seriously tired ALL THE TIME. I feel a little bit ridiculous. Not to mention to consistently inconsistent emotions. I've never been a super emotional person, but I am all over the place these days! That alone is exhausting. Some pregnant women complain about cravings, but I'm lucky if I even feel like eating. I have my fingers crossed that the second trimester will be better. Even if it isn't, the end result will be worth anything I have to endure for the next few months.
Baby Bump: Not really showing. Maybe a little bit. I can feel it, but Jake swears you can't really see anything. If you did see something in the picture, you could blame it on the undershirt I have on.

Week 11
Baby Size: Baby Taylor is the size of a lime! (1.6 inchs, .25oz)
Baby Developments: Skin is see-through, toes and fingers aren't webbed, and he/she has tooth buds, hair follicles and nail beds.

Week 10
Baby Size: Baby Taylor is the size of a dried prune! (Because we all know the approximate size of that...) or 1.2 inchs, .14oz.
I look like I might be showing, but the picture is deceiving. Just my pants. No baby bump yet.

Week 9
We forgot to take the side view picture. But trust me, not much has changed.
Baby Size: Baby Taylor is the size of an olive. (.9 inches, .07oz)
Updates: Due Date is February 26, 2016 (If little Taylor comes 3 days late, we'll have a leap year baby!)
The baby is healthy and growing just great.
We were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time: 174bpm.
I am truly amazed by the Ultrasound. I actually have the inside of me! It truly is the miracle of life. This baby is already so loved. God must really love us if He is willing to entrust us with these little souls. I don't mean to sound too gushy or preachy, but I love that my body can do this. It is amazing to me that I don't even need to tell my body what to do...it just does it! Wow. Life is awesome. Really.
