I was so lucky to have my family come visit! We waited to have Mckynlee's baby blessing until my younger brother got home from his mission. A few days after he came home, they headed out here to Arkansas. My family all arrived on Thursday night and the fun began! To start the day, Kevin went to work with Jake and the rest of us hung out around the house and around the town. We met up at lunch time and headed to a restaurant in Gentry called Wooden Spoon. There is a community of Meninites there and they own the restaurant. Jake had been there once and I had only seen the building. We've been hearing about how good their pie is, so we wanted to try it out. It did not disappoint! After lunch, we headed to Tanyard Creek in Bella Vista for a nature walk/hike. Arkansas is so beautiful. We finished the day with Icees from Walmart. I think the 78 cent slurpee from Walmart was my dad's favorite part of the trip...other than Mckynlee that is. Mckynlee found a new game with Grandpa. I think she probably dropped the ball for him to pick up 100 times. It was quite the game. On Saturday, Jake's family came into town and we did a grand tour of Bentonville. Well, sort of. We went to the farmer's market then had lunch at the food trucks. We took a small walk to Crystal Bridges and went in to escape the heat. After the art museum, we headed to the Walton 5&10. It isn't Bentonville without the Walmart Museum. After a very eventful morning and afternoon, we parted ways to rest before going to dinner. We had to have typical southern food, so we headed to Whole Hog. Blessing day! Jake gave Mckynlee a very sweet blessing and it was a wonderful day. We were so lucky to have so many loving family members around. These pictures are so typical Mckynlee. She is so full of life and giggles and smiles. She is such a blessing in our lives. I have loved every minute of having her in my life. She brings such joy, I don't know what I ever did without her. I love watching her grow, but I am constantly begging time to just slow down a little bit so I can enjoy the moments a little more. My Father in Heaven must love me very much to trust me with this precious little girl. I could post 100 more beautiful pictures of my perfect daughter in her blessing dress. But it takes forever to upload. But these ones are pretty great. After the Taylors headed back to Texas, my family and I packed up to spend a few days in Branson, MO. A vacation within a vacation. Silver Dollar City! I wasn't expecting much from Silver Dollar City. I wasn't thinking there would be too many rides, it would be small, and it would be mostly for little kids. But I was pleasantly surprised. We had a great time and such a fun day! We finished the night with Chick-fil-a for dinner. You can tell Mckynlee is a southern girl. She wanted nothing more than to get her hands on our chicken. That's a new development just this week. She wants food SOO badly. The morning was full of shopping at the Outlets. We had to head home so Kyle, Ariel, and Clark could catch their flight. Which, unfortunately, was delayed for about 3 hours. But hey, it was just more time together. We spent Wednesday morning at the swimming pool, followed by Big Rub for lunch. We then gave my family a tour of 5260, which is just a really nice Walmart. Little did they know that they would come to Arkansas just to see a Walmart. Preeeettty exciting. We also spent some time at the Promenade. But we called it a day early so that Mckynlee (and the rest of us) could get a little bit of rest. We spent most of Thursday in Fayetteville. We were planning on hiking, but it started to storm. So we made other plans. We stopped at a place called The Deal Depot. It was....unique. But it was a good way to spend a rainy afternoon. We went hiking at Devil's Den. It was great fun. The week went by too quickly. We had so much fun. My family is great. Hopefully it isn't too long before we get together again.

Thanks for inviting us to join you for the baby blessing. Her dress was beautiful and those photos of her in her dress are precious...the first of her three white dresses!
