This little cutie just reached her 4 month birthday! Has it really already been a month? Has it really already been 4?
Mckynlee is such a fun baby. We couldn't be luckier. She is so smily and happy. We just love every minute of her!
She now rolls all over the place! She loves toys and puts just about everything in her mouth. She's starting to giggle and laugh (is there a happier sound?). She loves when we sing to her and she still does NOT like her carseat.
She just recently had her 4 month check up (and shots :( ). She's doing great! Last appointment, she was in the 98 percentile in height, this time, she was in the 78th for height, and the 62nd in weight. At least she won't be too much of a giant! Looking at her genetics though, we're guessing she'll be pretty tall. Hopefully she gets more coordination than her mother.

I think the majority of Mckynlee's toys are giraffes. You'd think it was her mom's favorite animal or something. It probably biases her, but that's okay. There is nothing wrong with loving giraffes!
Sorry for the nudity! Funny story with this picture: I was changing her diaper one morning, when I turned to find the wipes or a new diaper or something like that. I looked back and Mckynlee had rolled away with no diaper! The way she rolled made it look like she was on the run. "You'll never catch me alive!" I was laughing so hard, I almost didn't catch her.
I woke up one morning to Mckynlee making grunting noises. She wasn't upset, she was just playing with the quilt in her crib! (After she got out of her swaddle, like always.) I went into her room, and she gave me a look like, "Mom, can't you see I'm busy playing?" Such a funny girl.
The doctor told us that pretty soon, Mckynlee would be interested in eating like we do. We had a good laugh when she saw me take a drink of my water bottle, then decided she was going to try too. She didn't quite figure it out, but it was certainly entertaining!
During nap time, I've been doing more projects! Just gotta love it.
This was a fun project. The other week, I tried to make a romper without a pattern...that did not turn out well. Dresses on the other hand, much easier. This was originally one of Jake's work shirts. He came home one day with rips in the elbows. I was going to patch them up, but Jake was worried it would look weird and he was going to throw the shirt away. It was still in such great shape, I didn't want to just toss it! So we made the most of it and made a little dress! I thought it turned out really cute. Jake on the other hand, said, "She looks like a puritan." Thanks babe. ;) I'm currently working on a tie for the middle so she doesn't look so old fashion. But it was so fun to make and turned out cute!
I considered leaving the collar of the shirt, but then realized Jake's neck is a lot bigger than Mckynlee's and it would probably look silly.

On a beautiful summer evening, we decided to have a date night. Our dates are have been three way dates recently, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
We saw this food truck when we first moved to Arkansas, but we never went. So we gave it a try! It did not disappoint.

The date night ended with an epic round of Scrabble. It started out real, but turned into a group effort. And yes, we used every tile. And they are all Harry Potter words, in case you couldn't tell. Funny though, we didn't use the name Harry. Seems wrong, doesn't it?
