Mckynlee had a bigger celebration for her birthday than any two year old could need or want. This silly, spunky, sassy little cutie is so loved, its sometimes hard to handle. Anyway, my mom had flew out to watch Mcks while Jake and I took a little vacation to the Bahamas. We celebrated her birthday before we left so my mom could be there. (#1). While on our trip, my mom got an opportunity to go to Ireland. She left Florida the day after we got home, but decided to fly back into Florida on her way home. Because of the length of her trip, she ended up being with us on Mckynlee's actual birthday, so of course we celebrated again! (#2). Then, the following weekend, we took Mckynlee up to Disney World to celebrate. We have annual passes, so why not? (#3). Seriously, what two year old get 3 parties! Silliness! But we had so much fun.
On Mckynlee's actual birthday, we headed across the coast to Naples. We had a lot of fun looking for shells and playing in the sand. It was sunny and beautiful and a perfect day.
Could she get any cuter? She was finding shells for everyone she knew. I think she was toting around 15 shells or so. Each one had a very specific future owner in her mind.
Disney Birthday
Jake took a day off work, so we had a nice three-day weekend together. We started our trip at Hollywood Studios. Mckynlee has recently been pretty into Toy Story, so we thought she would love meeting Woody and Buzz. She was really excited up to the moment of actually meeting them. I think they were a little big bigger than she was expecting. She got a little bit nervous.
Mckynlee is really into a lot of the Disney Jr shows. So she was excited to meet Jake (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) and Doc McStuffons.
I have pictures, but I didn't post them, but during a ride, we left Mckynlee's birthday present (a new sparkly Ariel backpack) in the stroller. During the ride, a group of squirrels decided to raid her backpack. And leave a gaping hole in it. She was so sad! I had purchased it at the Disney Character Warehouse in Ft. Lauderdale a few weeks prior. All inventory at the store is from the parks, so we thought it would be easy to find a replacement in the park. (Disney was kind enough to give us a voucher for a free new backpack!) We looked EVERYWHERE. We found nothing. We even went to the Character Warehouse in Orlando. They told us they had just sold their last one that morning. Frantic (because I'm crazy when it comes to Mcks), I called the Ft. Lauderdale store. They had 2 left. I was able to convince them to keep it on hold for us, which was a huge exception. But I was sure grateful!
Our next day started at Magic Kingdom.

Mckynlee still doesn't love fireworks. Maybe some day she'll understand that fireworks are actually really fun and beautiful. She's a trooper though.
Mckynlee is really into Rapunzel and Ariel. When I say into, I mean obsessed. She especially loves Flynn Ryder and Prince Erik. When you ask her what Flynn Ryder says, she'll respond "I just can't get my nose right!" It's adorable. And her birthday cake had to have Erik on it, no exceptions. Anyway, we found a character breakfast at Disney that had Rapuzel, Flynn, Erik, and Ariel. Perfect! We decided to splurge and let her meet her favorites. What a blast! She even got to dance around the room with Prince Erik, which she thought was pretty great.

The over stimulation from the last month must have caught up to Mcks because she totally lost it after breakfast. The exhaustion took over and we decided to call it a day early. We headed back home, but we had a great weekend!
