First off...when did my baby grow up! I know 2 months old isn't old, but can you believe it's already been 2 months! She's changed so much and learned so much. I just love this little baby. She's the best.
Two Months Old
I mean, how cute is that little face! (I'll admit, I am pretty biased.) But she is so much fun. I just love getting to spend everyday with her. She's really starting to smile and interact more. She also rolled over for the first time at 7 weeks! What?! Front to back. She's a rock star. Haha.
It always happened so fast, I couldn't get a great video. Then, of course, when I had the camera out, she wouldn't do it.

Our Trip to Utah
My best friend from High School/college got married just recently and I was lucky enough to be invited to the ceremony! So Mckee and I packed up and started our trip to Utah. Flying from XNA (Bentonville) to Salt Lake is ridiculously expensive. So Mckee and I actually flew into Las Vegas. It turned out to be a great deal because then we were able to visit some family in St. George on our way up to Utah County. That was fun.
I was really worried about flying for the first time. I was worried Mckee would have ear problems or would fuss the entire flight. Before we left, she wasn't taking a pacifier and was a little bit hard to soothe sometimes. She flew like a champ though! I nursed on the way up and she slept all the way through landing, getting my luggage, and driving to the hotel. She was so great. I was sitting by some girls who were on their way to a bachelorette party in Vegas. One of them was pregnant, so they were all enamored by Mckynlee and wanted to know about motherhood. Overall, super easy. I was so greatful.
We arrived in Vegas late Thursday night and spent most of Friday shopping in Vegas. For those of you who have had children, you know how it feels looking in your closet and being super discouraged when things don't fit the same way anymore. So, Jake--being the wonderful man that he is--told me I should renew my wardrobe while I was in Las Vegas. Girls weekend!
It was fun to just relax and shop and spend time with the girls. Mckynlee, again, was awesome. She maybe doesn't love shopping quite as much as my mom and I do/did.

We started the morning with breakfast at the Paris hotel and then to the outlets!
We spent Saturday in St. George. We were able to visit my grandparents! So fun! My Aunt and Uncle also own a Pizza Pie Cafe in St. George, so we went to lunch there. If you ever find yourself in St. George, definitely take the time to go there. It's fabulous.
I was so glad we were able to see them. They are wonderful.
Sunday was our trip back to Utah County. Mckynlee did great in the car. She slept most of the ride. On our way to Highland, we stopped in Salem to visit Jake's grandmother. Again, a wonderful visit!

Most of the week was spent with family and friends. I wouldn't have it any other way!
Before we came to Utah, I found out my younger brother Cayson had his second high school soccer game. We decided we would go and support him! I wanted Mckynlee to have a onesie with Lone Peak on it, so I pulled out an my old t-shirt and whipped up something!

She also learned how to make a new noise. I call it "give-mom-a-heart-attack-because-she-thinks-I'm-choking-or-something-else-life-threatening". It's a long title, but it describes it well.
They may not look like they love each other, but I'm pretty sure they do. Clark and Maycie seemed so intrigued by Mckynlee. It was fun to see them interact. I walked into the room when Clark was visiting and he promptly told me, "Shh...Kinlee....sleepin." It was so cute! Love that little guy!
While I was in Utah, I decided I wanted a change. You know how it goes. I had my hair dyed and something called a balayage (ball-ee-ah-j). In the end, it really didn't look as different as I originally thought it would. But it was still fun!
The Wedding!
On Friday, we headed to the Payson UT Temple for Jocelyn's wedding! It was a beautiful sealing. I'm so glad I was able to be a part of it. While watching, I was reminded of my own wedding and how much life changed in that moment. Little did I know what life had in store for me. Here I am, exactly 2.5 years later, living in Arkansas, taking care of a baby, and just loving this life we've built. I'm just grateful I have Jake. I'm a lucky girl.
Jocelyn has always been such a good friend to me. Through the years, we've been through some tough stuff together. I'm so glad she made her way into my life. I'm so happy for her a Matt. They have a lot of fun adventures before them, and I'm so incredibly happy she found a wonderful man. Congrats!
So here comes a mom rant. Prepare yourself. Here we go: what's with the mom-shaming in our society? It seems that no matter what we read or say or do, we aren't doing enough for our children. I've only been a mom for two months, and I've already felt the rage. There is so much stress to be the perfect mom so my child can have a chance to become president. Does it really matter if my child has a pacifier? Or if she occasionally misses a nap time? I think we should all just decide what is best for our children and understand that not everyone parents the same way we do. What's wrong with that? Being a mother is already emotionally taxing, and we need all the support we can get. Is it really that hard?
Anyway, that's just a few thoughts I have. My kid has a paci and she might not be president. But at least we'll love her with all we have.

Aren't they cute?
Texas
After a great week in Utah, the fun had to come to a close. Mckee and I headed home. We did have one more stop before we headed back to Arkansas. We flew into Dallas so Mckynlee could meet the Taylor side of the family.
Ron has been working on restoring this old Ford truck for quite a while. This trip we were able to take a ride in it! It was so fun! We cruised around Coppell blasting old time rock n' roll!
While I was gone, Jake kept telling me he was working on a project. I was excited to finally see what it was!
Didn't he do a great job! And he used all products that we already had! I just love it. It was a great week, but I'm glad to be home!
