We were thrilled when Jake and I's sister-in-law asked if she and her two boys could come visit us for a few days. Her boys have a lot more energy than we do, so we had a few days of non-stop fun!
Once they arrived, late(ish) Monday night, we headed to the Bentonville Square. We toured the Walmart museum and finished the night with delicious Yarnell's ice cream from the Spark Cafe.
The next day, we had an early start. Jake wished he could have joined us on our adventures, but unfortunately, he had to work. We started our day by taking Rio on a walk and hanging out at a local park. Soon after that, we headed to the new kid's museum in Bentonville, Amazeum. Buuuttt....much to our dismay, the museum isn't open on Tuesdays. (My bad! Didn't read the fine print.) So we went to our plan B.
We made a quick stop at Sam's Club, then headed to High Rise, a trampoline park in Rogers. I hadn't ever been to the park, but I had heard good things about it. And let me tell you, these boys are super adventurous and super brave. It sounded like something that would be right up their alley. We were right! They were so fun to watch.
The trampoline park had a few American Ninja Warrior obstacles. If I weren't pregnant (and actually had some resemblance of upper body strength), I might have tried it myself! Although these boys could outperform me any day.

After a tiring hour at High Rise, we met Jake for lunch at Slim Chickens. Yum!
Our day then concluded with the Roger's Aquatic Center. Again, I had never been there. I thought it was just a swimming pool with a diving board....buutt....it was more like a small water park. Again, a hidden treasure in our little town. :)
I couldn't do much--the whole pregnant thing again. (Funny enough, Caleb was very confused that I couldn't do a lot of things because I certainly don't look pregnant. Haha.) But it was a beautiful day, so I just enjoyed the sunshine while Emily and the boys played in the water.

We headed home for dinner. We hoped to return to the water park again with Jake. But the park closed earlier than we thought. (Again, my bad. Mis-read a sign.) So we headed to another park to play on before bedtime.
The best part of the park, by far, was the tetter-totter, see-saw thing. We had a lot of fun!

Wednesday was filled with the Amazeum (the Kid's museum) and a lot of driving for Emily and her boys. Jake and I don't have children (yet) so it was fun to see in the museum. We would feel creepy going without kids... Anyway, the boys spent most of their time in the Walmart grocery section.
They had green Walmart associate vests that the boys wore. I think Walmart should have hired them right then and there! The Amazeum employees hardly had to work because these boys were so efficient. Emily and I were lucky enough to catch a small conversation between Austin and one of the other children there.
Austin: "Man, could you come help me in the bakery. We are so backed up and I could use the help."
It made my day. These guys don't mess around. :) Soon enough, Austin and Caleb had their own fleet of kid Walmart employees bustling around making sure all the other "customers" were being helped.

I guess that is what happens when you visit Bentonville, you end up working for Walmart!
We were planning on doing a Hershey's lab by making chocolate, but were informed they only make chocolate on Saturdays and Sundays. Bummer. I guess they will just have to visit again! We loved having the company. :)
